Reflections from Tasmiah Rahman, Associate Director, Skills Development Programme, on reaching 20 years of Graduation approach.
Over 2.1 million households have lifted themselves out of extreme poverty in Bangladesh, through the Graduation approach pioneered by BRAC. The approach has also been adopted in over 100 organisations in 50 countries, reaching approximately 14 million people. This year’s International Day for the Eradication of Poverty marks 20 years of the approach – follow our channels to hear the stories of those two decades, and meet the people who have worked so hard to change their lives.
BRAC’s work in ending poverty in Bangladesh is supported by its strategic partners the Australian government and Global Affairs Canada, as well as UNHCR, the KfW-funded Climate Bridge Fund and Metlife Foundation.
