One in seven people in Bangladesh will be displaced due to climate change by 2050. The geographical location of the country already makes it vulnerable to climatic hazards, and the impacts of climate change have compounded these vulnerabilities.

Sir Fazle Hasan Abed called climate change an existential problem. With predictions of worsening climate conditions in the coming decades, the world needs to arm itself against the consequences as much as it needs climate action at the roots.
